Everyone’s welcome to participate, so you can simply grab a few mates and represent the pub or club. But you’ll need the permission of the publican to use their logo on any merchandise.
All good – four is just the maximum number per team. You’ll have even more bragging rights if three or two of you can win!
Absolutely. You just have to differentiate yourself – the Wobbly Boot Front Bar and Back Bar for example.
Yes, the briefing is compulsory for at least one member of each team, as event information and safety issues will be disseminated. The briefing will be filmed and uploaded to our Facebook page.
Teams are permitted to fish from boats, kayaks, jet-skis, jetties, break walls, rocks or surf beach within the Newcastle region, provided that public access is allowed. All forms of fishing is permitted from bait to lure or fly. Please check the rules page.
From the four target species, any legal fish you catch can be photographed – but you just need to send us your largest ones. Please also take one of you holding the fish to share on our social media pages.
Safety information will be announced by Convenor of Fishing Tony Poole at the nightly presentations. If there is a strong wind warning, offshore and rock fishing may be disallowed.
